I am a representative of Jesus and Conservative Republican who has been led to take up the challenge of representing the 101st District of Western Michigan. At my roots I am country boy raised in the Irish Hills of Michigan.
I have the honor of being married for 43 years, am a proud father of 4 children, and grandfather of 11 grandchildren.
I have been focused on people throughout my career. During the last 7 years, I have directed the Newaygo County Commission on Aging. I have also led as a Christian School Administrator and Teacher for 25 years. I also wear the hats of Pastor and Missionary, which are lifelong endeavors.
I have been a resident of West Michigan for nearly 40 years and was planted in Newaygo County roughly 15 years ago. I know and love the people and natural beauty of Western Michigan. I care deeply for Michigan and have a heart for people all ages - from conception to older adults.
FAITH
Jesus said it, “You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free.” (John 8:32). It is often noted that America is built upon freedom, but the greater Truth is that freedom grows out of faith. In America, we have freedom of religion. The Bill of Rights established our free exercise of religion apart from government intervention.
I stand against the philosophies of secularism, humanism, relativism, totalitarianism, and atheism.
FAMILY
Family is the primary unit of government and the basic building block of society. When we have strong families, we have a strong nation. I stand for a Biblical view regarding sexuality, marriage, and the family. I am an advocate for parental involvement in every facet of education. I believe in an educational system that seeks out and proclaims the whole Truth in every academic pursuit.
FREEDOM
We are free to live within the boundaries set for us by the Founding Fathers and laid out in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Amendments.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed
by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty,
and the pursuit of Happiness.

The rights of freedom extend from womb to tomb, to people of all ethnicities, and to the adherents of all religions. These freedoms include, but are not limited to, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the right to peaceably assemble, and the right to keep and bear arms.
To quote John Adams, second president of the United States, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” It behooves us as a nation to be and become a freedom-loving, good, honest, and honorable people. If we are truly to be free, we must fight against tyranny, fraud, and hypocrisy in all its forms.
